1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce
1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible - I bought this car to restore it, but have had to change my plans. It has a 2.0 DOHC 4-cylinder engine, with a 5-speed manual transmission. Color is "Rosso." The car appears to be complete. It will require a complete restoration. This was a barn find that appears to not have run in years. I have no history on this car. Body is straight, has good door gaps. Has original Alfa aluminum wheels, with a matching full size spare. Tires are dry rotted, but hold air. The rockers have some rust, as does the LH floor plan. The floor rust is localized and easily patch repaired. There is some rust on the structure around radiator area, also repairable. The spare tire well has repairable rust holes. Rust repair panels are available online. Seat pans must be replaced, and new ones are available. The exhaust system is mostly gone, and there is no catalytic converter. There is evidence of a minor impact on the front. The convertible top is shot, but the frame is there. Odometer shows 100,030 miles, actual mileage unknown. Car rolls and steers freely. Transmission shifts normally. Parts are readily available from multiple sources online, including rust repair panels for the affected areas. Hagerty Insurance values these cars from $9,900 to $32,300.This car can be restored or parted out. Used parts sell well on Ebay. If it doesn't sell, I will part the car out.
