This car was delivered new in 1967 to Germany (I have original import and delivery documentation), driven around Europe for 8 years and then shipped to the US in 1975. It has been owned by a single family from 1967 - 2002.
It has the original numbers matching engine, transmission, and Weber carburetors - the entire car is almost 100% original with the exception of a very high-quality respray in the early 90s and the convertible top had a new skin put on (looks like new).
It comes with the original spare(original tire still on it!), jack, toolkit, original keys, etc... I have extensive documentation going back to the original shipping and delivery documents into Germany and a big stack of receipts throughout the years as well as a one-page history of the car written by the previous owner. This car was also used for filming a movie (I will give more details to the winning bidder).
It runs and drives amazingly and easily turns over first try, even when cold (see video). Absolutely no 2nd gear grinds - I have a $7000 receipt for the transmission rebuild and it shifts like butter (unlike most Alfas). Original nose and early Alfa "beak" in perfect condition. The doors click shut solidly and straight. Completely up-to-date with California registration and plates. Clutch, brakes, tires, everything is in great shape and ready to drive anywhere. No dents, only small scratches/scuffs as shown in the photos.
I spent 6 months looking for the perfect Alfa Duetto Spider, and this is the one you want. This car needs nothing but a new driver!

Also, I forgot to mention that EVERYTHING works. All heating, electronics, gauges, vents, lights, indicators, map lights, underhood lights, etc. work perfectly. Even the original radio works but will need a new speaker (these early cars have only one) - the original speaker was very old and I removed it but haven't had time to replace. The original speaker will come with the car along with a big box of extra Alfa parts/goodies.
