1969 Alfa Romeo Spider Convertible

Up for auction is a beautiful example of an unmolested 1969 Alfa Romeo roundtail spider (Duetto). 60k Original Miles! This car has been a member of a very prestigious car collection here in Scottsdale Arizona. This is one of the most original and complete cars you will ever find here on eBay, or any other auction sites.

Body

The body of the car is exceptional. Beautiful shiny white paint, with all the period-correct chrome parts. The doors and the trunk open up with ease and shut correctly. This Duetto is 100% solid TOTALLY FREE OF RUST inside and out, including the floors, original rocker panels, and the original jack posts. I took several pictures of the bottom of the car for you to see how exceptionally clean this vehicle really is. The lines on the car match up 100%. It is unlikely that you will find another Duetto in this condition.

All the tires are made by Yokohama and they're brand new. The wheels have been professionally bead blasted and powder-coated and look fantastic. All for hubcaps are in excellent condition.

Exterior

The car looks stunning from the outside; there's no other way of describing it. The bumpers have the original chrome and are super shiny, along with the original front grille which is in beautiful condition. The head lights ring chromes are in excellent condition as well. No cracks on the windshield, all the windows are intact. It has a brand new high quality cloth soft top. The back window is totally clear and flawless.

Interior

The interior of the car is also in excellent condition: no tears or rips on the seats, the door panels are still original, no warping or discoloration. All the door hardware chrome are in excellent condition. The back drape behind the seats is in excellent condition, all original. All the gauges are in perfectly working order. No cracks or tears on the dashboard.

Both floor mats are the correct Alfa Romeo vinyl floor mats, with carpet covering the transmission tunnel. The steering wheel and the stick shift knob are matching mahogany wood.

Engine

The engine bay is very clean. Still has the original 1750 SPICA injection air box decals on it. We just installed a new battery. The car starts right up every time without hesitation, and once it has warmed up the engine runs smooth and flawlessly. Very strong, quiet, no knocking or smoke. The gearbox is in perfect condition, shifts through all the gears without any grinding or hesitation. Both brake boosters are present (this is correct for the 1969 models), and work perfectly.

Additional notes

The top tonneau cover that goes onto the collapsed convertible top frame is in excellent condition and is also included. The factory 1750cc Owner Manual is also included with the car.

I cannot stress enough how exceptional and beautiful this Duetto really is. You could spend years looking for a car that's in this beautiful and original condition.

I described the car to the best of my ability and recollection. Please keep in mind that you're purchasing a vehicle that is almost 50 years old. A $250 deposit is due via PayPal or in person within 24 hours of close of auction. The remainder of the balance is due via U.S. Bank wire transfer.
