1933 Willys coupe, original,unchopped steel body, a real deal east coast drag car with gasser history dating back to the late 60's.Not a clone or awannabe! Original built/campaigned by Chuck Ivan as the " Mystery 8" in A/Gas and B/Gas class. Then sold to John Hendricks in early 70's who campaigned it in brackets until the 1980's garnering many wins and accolades including spots in several magazines.The car was converted to a street rod by the next few owners.Has all working lights for street use. While some modifications had been made over the years the car retains its original paint dated back to the late 60's when the car was built. Very rare!
The car is currently setup with an aluminum head 350 chevy crate engine sporting a tunnel ram with twin holley carbs, vertex magneto,th 350trans, Olds rear with posi traction and 350 gears, cragar mags, vintage racing buckets,SW big logo gages and Jones mechanical tach. Original body has steel doors, fiberglass one piece hood,decklid and rear fenders. it sits on a Willy frame with straight axle front end and ladder bar rear suspension with adjustable coil over shocks.GM style disc brakes have been added in front for street duty. It runs, drives and stops very well for a 50 yr old ex race car but it isn't a cushy style street rod,its a HOT ROD!
