1949 Willys 439 Jeepster

Willys-Overland lacked the machinery to form deep-drawn fenders or complicated shapes, so the vehicle had to use a simple and slab-sided design. Industrial designer Brooks Stevensstyled a line of postwar vehicles for Willys using a commonplatformthat included the Jeep pickup and station wagon, as well as a sporty two-door open carthat he envisioned as a sports car for veterans of World War II. The Willys-Overland Jeepster ("VJ" internally) was introduced in April 1948,and produced through 1950 with a limited production of only 2,960 units for 1949.......This is very nice example of a restored with receipts 1949 Jeepster HOT ROD, 2 wheel drive, the original motor was replaced with a 350 V8 with throttle body injection and teamed up with a 700-R 4 speed automatic, power rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, Fatman front suspension and Hugger headers with side cut outs.
