Some of the early slate grill features found on this jeep are:

  • Early ROSS steering box T125998
  • Early mirror arm with large HEX nut with brass acorn nuts on mounting
  • AND REPRO KINGBEE mirror head
  • PINTLE hook is marked STL
  • SCHWARTZ horn
  • Early scalloped rear axles
  • Split frames on front seats
  • Early hood hinge (7 leaves TOTAL)
  • New canvas seats (Beachwood Canvas) best I can remember
  • Original body tub (NO. 4328 on gusset)
  • Early frame with rear brake line bracket (SEE PHOTOS)
  • Tool box lids with two (2) small hinges
  • The short windshield on this jeep is a professionally modified regular windshield frame shortened by two inches and a new skin added at bottom
  • Early small needle speedometer with new face
  • Early original GAS gauge with GAS spelled out
  • Original AMP gauge 30/30 AMP
  • Repro temperature gauge
  • Round muffler
  • Fire extinguisher mounted on passenger side (SOS brand)
  • Square fuel tank sump
  • New small mouth gas tank with NOS cap
  • Choke and throttle have correct raised letters
  • Correct metal light knob
  • Footman Loops are early squared off
  • Brass windshield hold down clamps
  • Short reinforcement straps on frame(SEE PHOTO)
  • Original TIGER-EY bezels and repro reflectors
  • Rounded break pedal and squared clutch cast pedals
  • Eight (8) spring leaves front
  • Nine (9) spring leaves rear
  • Original shift knobs
  • Estimated 90% of bolts are original TR2, AA and AH marked
  • original willys hand crank
Early engine and engine bay features:
  • 539S K1 carburetor with throttle cable over air horn
  • Original AC pancake oil bath air filter
  • Early W2 head
  • Valve cover bolt in long MA type
  • Small oil filler tube and dipstick
  • Early intake manifold with no ports
  • Purolator oil filter cannister (Drain toward block)
  • Wartime fuel pump with primer handle
  • Early 6V 5001A generator with two (2) ball bearings and oil cups
  • Early 4203A voltage regulator no ribs date code 10-41
  • Early riveted oil pan drain
  • Early long draft drain tube
  • Early 1504212 fuel filter
  • The rear seat frame is not original but a modified unit that looks original.
  • The early jack that shows on early documents is included. (SEE PHOTO) This jack came with the jack when I got it whether it is original or not is questionable.
  • The jeep was bought from a family that had purchased it after WWII near Blue Ridge, GA. I do not have any of the original documents. The jeep is presently located in Spring Hill, FL. We own a home in Georgia and can write a bill of sale with a Georgia address. There is no title required in Georgia for a vehicle this old.
  • This was a ground up restoration with every nut, bolt, frame, metal piece sandblasted over the course of fifteen (15) years. 100's of hours of labor was put into this jeep. It was painted about ten (10) years ago and scratches are present. It could use a fresh coat of paint but I liked the patina. I conservatively estimate that the jeep is about 95% correct. I have paid attention to detail and tried to make it as accurate as possible.
  • The tires are mismatched and old. I was holding out until the original Goodyear type replacements were available at a reasonable cost but, looks like that is not going to happen. Instead of putting on Firestone I decided to wait.
  • The radiator is not the original type but I have an original top and bottom tank from a slat radiator that is included. The present radiator is so nice that I could not bring myself to switch them out.
  • The drivers side window has a small crack at bottom, hardly noticeable.
  • I will assist in loading but cannot arrange shipping. A five hundred dollar ($500) non-refundable deposit is required at end of auction via Paypal and balance paid within seven (7) business days via bank wire transfer. SOLD AS IS-NO WARRANTIES.
