Touring Car – Horseless Carriage!!

Rare Motor Car – From Private

Collection!!

This car and the Willys-Overland name represents a time or an era where our ideas for a new business were always put on paper or a napkin(whatever was available) and discussed over a drink. Then into brick and mortar. Since back in the teens the automobile was still being development and the never ending need for travel was here to stay. It was cars like these that gave us our sense of freedom. Where a Sunday drive was a treat, not a necessity. Every smart engineer or builder were always finding ways to do it better, to make it faster and that’s how companies like the Willys Overland were formed and developed. This 1920 Willys Overland was recently removed out of a collection of cars that housed all these late teens to early 30’s automobiles. This car was restored years ago and still presents great. Please read on about this rare find and let us know of any questions you may have.

Exterior:

As you can see from the pictures this vehicle shows great. Being restored years ago the paint still shows luster and the bright work still has shine. The body is original will all wheels being original as well. The glass is intact and in good condition. Tires were replaced at some point and have plenty of tread and hold air. This car would be a great show car and great for parades once it is running. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

Interior:

Well there is not much to the interior of this vehicle, but what is in there has either been restored or maintained throughout its almost 100 years of its existence. The pictures speak for themselves. You can tell the car was well preserved. Please look at all the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drive-Train:

The engine is the 4 cylinder in line side valve motor. Its 143.04 Cubic inches and produces a whopping 19.6 brake horse power. The engine is fitted with the Tillotsen carburetor and a 3 speed gearbox. The car has not been started or run in 2yrs but has been stored and a climate controlled garage and the motor spins freely and the vehicle can be pushed around. No brake lock up. It won’t take much to get this old 1920 Willys Overland running again. When parked there was no issues with the running condition.

In summation, this vehicle represents so much of our past and how our country possessed such innovators and entrepreneurs back in the day. Getting this car running again brings alive the history of our automobile and the culture of the way America used to be. Please let us know of any questions you may have!
