1944 Willys MB army jeep GPW

For your consideration, a nice 44' Willys MB army jeep. Chassis serial #368xxx. Jeep appears to have gone thru a French rebuild as the frame and running gear are willys, but the body is French made. This is a restoration project that was started, but never finished. It's a motor pool restoration, an excellent jeep for reenactment or general use. Can be restored to museum grade with little work. Sheet metal is good overall with only minor rust issues.
Willys engine and transmission, is the factory original to the jeep. Serial number has been checked and is within the correct range for the frame serial number. Engine and transmission are operating as they should, with no major issues.Frame, axles, and springs are in nice condition. They are original to the jeep and have not been replaced because they are in good shape.Never been used as a snowplow, never been crashed or abused. Front frame horns are excellent and undamaged.. Frame serial number tag is nice and undamaged.
Body is nice overall, with only one rust issue In a hat channel under passenger seat. No major dents or damage. There is absolutely no bondo in this body. All dents have been left as they were, giving the jeep character.
This jeep is great for the enthusiast that wants to work on a nice project, and not a pile of rust. Brake and electrical wiring work remain to be fixed to make the jeep drivable. Original wiring is old and in poor condition. Brakes as well, have been subject to long term storage and need to be gone thru.
