1987 Volvo 240

Up for sale is a unique 1987 Volvo 240 that has been professionally and tastefully/time-era appropriately restored by myself. All aftermarket non-oem Volvo/stock cosmetic alterations that have been installed by myself are fully and easily removable if desired and will not leave /alter/defect the vehicle in any which way. I made sure of this in case the day came that I did indeed have to sell the car. Sadly life events that have occurred in my life have forced me to part ways with my 240. I selected these upgrades to make this 240 stand out and represent early to mid 1990s art and culture and have several car show awards won in 2015 for my efforts.
Overall this 240 is in fantastic condition especially since it has spent its whole life in the North East and has less than 2% body rust/rot on the vehicle with the worst being on the rocker panels underneath the driver's and passenger's side rear doors. It is barely noticeable and in no way affects the asethetics of the vehicle. I had intended to address and repair the rust this summer however I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy and different priorities obviously arose. This year I have done the following work to this 240:
-Complete cleaning/repaint of engine bay/engine.
-New OEM Volvo spark plug wires, ap, otor and high-performance spark plug wires.
-New OEM Volvo ignition coil rebuilt by myself.
-New Engine Valve Cover gasket.
-Recharge of R134 AC which fully works.
-New front and rear headlights/tail lights.
-New KYB front struts along with rebuilt strut towers.
-New OEM Volvo front strut mounts.
-4 New ATE calipers.
-OEM Volvo brake pads & rotors (front).
-OEM Volvo inner/outer tie rods both sides.
-OEM Volvo front wheel bearings.
-4 New Tires.
-New OEM Volvo driver's side lower balljoint.
-Computerized wheel alignment.
Also has front and rear IPD anti-sway bars installed.
The only things that will need addressing are as follows:
-It does have an exhaust leak. It is missing the rear resonator. I never replaced it as the state of Rhode Island does not require emissions testing on this vehicle since it is registered as an antique and is exempt.
-One of the inner screws on the driver's side front headlight is loose. The headlights are from DJ Auto and are notorious for coming lose. It does not affect the vehicle's lighting or driveability whatsoever.
-The timing belt should be done within the next 5,000 miles. Again I was going to do that this summer however I have barely even driven this car since my son was born in July.
-The odometer doesn't work and hasn't worked for the past few months.
This isn't just a regular run of the mill Volvo 240. It's been kept in fantastic condition its whole life and has been lovingly restored with OEM parts and the price reflects that. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call/text me at (401) 206-7227!!!
