Description:

1987 Volvo 240 DL

I have a love for Volvos, but wanted to go fast. I am quite fond of GM powerplants, but the vehicles...not soo much....so I put this car together to fulfill my exact needs and wants.. And it did just that. After many many miles of enjoyment, scaring people and racing sportbikes on the way to Chipotle, I am putting it on the market for sale.

I street drive the vehicle around town, get groceries, run errands etc- and have driven it 150mi round trip to the drag strip loaded with lawn chairs and a cooler. The car is super streetable and just an all around blast. I was able to make 1 full 1/4mi pass at the track (due to not having safety equipment) - The car went 10.08 at 143.5mph without using the transbrake - just flooring it off the line. Leaving on the transbrake I suspect 9.3-9.5's are very much within reach.

The car makes 745whp 734wtqon a mustang dyno at 17.5psi

The list goes on - but important items were covered. Obviously there is a load of custom mounts/brackets/lines etc.

Car has working power steering/e brake/heat etc. During the conversion I set out to make it very much like OEM - aside from the 4" exhaust hanging out of the fender. The vehicle has the factory body wiring harness, the engine has a custom harness, all the inside switches and dials/lights etc work like OEM. From inside the car you cannot tell the vehicle is swapped.

A few small items that I never got around to - or rather they didn't bother me -

I never converted over the fuel sender so the gas gauge is not connected.

Speedometer was never converted to work with the new trans but I used a GPS so never bothered.

Sold as is - NO RESERVE
