1971 Volvo 142 Two Door, California car, straight body stored dry inland climate

Price: - Item location: Oak View, California, United States
Description:

1971 Volvo 142 Two Door

There is a hole in hole in the left rear passenger foot well where rainwater collected (I cut away the rust spot so you can see extent of damage). If you really want to know exactly where and how much it is rusted I suggest you or your agent inspect the car before bidding. Clean title, legal planned non operational status with California DMV. Odometer reads 175,563. In the interest of avoiding flats due to cracks in the rubber, the tires in the photos will be exchanged with 195 65 15 used tires with worn tread but fresher rubber. Car rolls freely and steers well. Please see purchase details below before bidding.

The Engine cranks over evenly but does not run if one puts in a Battery. The brake and clutch pedal travel/resistance feel normal. The Fuel Supply systems would need cleaning and Supply and Vapor Recovery Hoses inspected and replaced as needed. I removed the Fuel Tank as it was rusty. It has no Battery. This car is sold as is.

Please bear in mind that it has been inoperative for a long time, so it is very likely that it will need work other than what I'm sure of and is listed above. At a minimum, it will require a thorough safety inspection performed by a qualified mechanic to assure the car is safe and roadworthy if it is to be operated again.Thank you for your interest.
Vehicle also listed elsewhere so auction could end at any time.
