Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very interesting and attractive P444 Volvo coupe, that has never been taken apart or restored. This highly original car was purchased from a collector who was just about to start a restoration. This car appears to have lived in Colorado around the early 1980's and has most likely been off the road since then. Today it remains in a highly original state, possibly having only one thin repaint in it's original white color, and showing approximately 49,000 miles.
The body on this car looks to be very honest and straight with the usual dings/dents from a lifetime of use, with one larger dent on the RH rear fender. There isn't much paint left on this car and almost certainly no trace of any filler. There is some very minor rust-through in a few spots on the body (pictured), and a little area on each side of the floors as seen from the underneath pictures. All very repairable and localized to those spots only. Panel fit is excellent. All of the chromework, stainless, and glass looks to be intact.
The interior appears extremely original. I'm sure a restoration would be fairly easy and straightforward.
The car's engine is currently stuck from sitting, most likely. The gearbox is out of the car but is included with the sale.
The car's undercarriage looks very decent, original, and correct for the car's mileage. the fuel tank has been restored and painted.
The car includes the trunk cards, trunk floor mat, sill protectors, small box of spares.
Overall, a very nice interesting period Volvo for easy restoration. These cars as of late are getting the interest they deserve.
