Description:

1982 Volvo 240 GLT

Currently garaged and has been the majority of its existence. An all around gorgeous, ell maintained, ell preserved, ery low mileage turbo wagon in excellent condition. If you're reading this ad, ou know it's a rare example. I've heard it called a unicorn. I bought it in running condition several months ago and have put upwards of $5,000 into it including: all new plugs/wires, ear wiring harness, ew interior lighting, ew Alpine stereo, oads of new hoses and belts, injector seals, railing arm bushings, ew brakes, ew O2 sensor, rake master cylinder, ew wiper linkage. And more. I have all receipts for all work I had done by local Volvo wizards (that's all they do). Now it drives the way it's supposed to. There have been no aftermarket modifications. The paint is original and sparklingly shiny. There are very few, inor blemishes would be normal for a 10 year old car let alone this classic. TIres have plenty of life--maybe 75% tread remains. The seats are good. Lumbar still works. Cushions have only 84,000 miles' worth of driving on them. Driver's seat is perfect. Passenger's has small V tear that was repaired/glued down at some point. About 3 inches of stitching ripped out too (see photo). back seats are showroom condition. Carpets are excellent. The biggest disappointment is the dash is faded and cracked but new ones can be had to match. This car is fast and tight. Transmission and clutch smooth. Virgo wheels are perfect. The black paint stripe just below the windows on the car's right is chipped through to the paint considerably (see photo). The left side is pretty good. Headliner is perfect. All lights work. All windows work. Power mirrors work. Interior plastic intact and good. The A/C even works. The windshield is original and is undamaged. I consider this a collector's car but it's tough and is prepared to be enjoyed. This car is incredibly cool. Please shoot any questions my way.
