1955 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Great project if your looking to do a FULL resto on a oval. 55 Stratto Silver deluxe U.S. spec car. All numbers matching one owner......!! I even have the original sales paperwork dated 7/9/55 when it was bought at Gene Klein motors in Calif. This car was meticulously maintained by its original owner for almost 30 years until it was sold in 81. I know the person who bought the car from the original owner and I know mostly the whole history of the car to this day. At some point between 2005 and 2010ish unfortunately things get hazy and someone decided to start "FIXING" the rust.. they patched the front driver side lower wheel well.. put in a heater channel on driver side and patched rear cross member and rear lower wheel well put in the wrong rear apron and lower rear quarters both sides. This bug seems to have been in awesome shape only needing minor fixing in the usual spots before it got hacked up by a novice. I have all the proper quality metal from Virtanen to repair the worst hacked areas also a full luggage shelf from a 56 which might have some useful areas. Has all original fenders. driver side front/back are very good passenger side front/back are very rough.. has nice Motorola big M/original huff key/German 10 slat rack/og batwing wheel/all large logo sekurit glass/all proper seats in great shape. Have all 5 original wheels. too much to list. I carefully took the car apart boxed up parts had the main body dustless blasted put it in epoxy primer and it has sat since then.. I love the car but don't see myself getting to it anytime soon.
