1974 VW Volkswagen Transporter Bus Van

1974 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

This is my 1974 VW Bus. We have owned this Bus since 2009. Since then we have replaced nearly every component on it. It is powered by a later 70's GE engine code 2.0l pancake engine.

Interior: since 2009, ew front seat upholstery, ew door panels and all interior side panels, ew carpet throughout, ew headliner. Dash is original and uncracked. Speedometer works and shows 96,000 miles but I don't know if it has rolled over. The Interior as a whole looks good and shows well.

Powertrain: 2.0l Pancake/Porsche engine. Has always run great and last time checked had great compression. It has 44 DRLA Dellorto Carbs that have been rebuilt. No issues with the 4 speed manual transmission goes in and stays in every gear with no pop outs. All brake components have been replaced from the booster to the pads. Overall the motor always starts and can drive anywhere.

Suspension: Front Beam is Adjustable and has Wagenswest Drop Spindles. Rear suspension has Wide Five U plates and lowered one spline. Brakes all the way around are good all new since 2009 and only driven 6000 miles or so.

Exterior: Was painted in 2009 also with VW red bottom and VW white top. The paint job is not top show quality but it def. shows very well. There are a few blemishes here and there as we have driven the Bus weekly since 2009. All new rubber throughout including door and window seals. Has a rack on top that is included. Factory wheels are painted red with White wall inserts. Tires all the way around have plenty of tread. All lights work properly.
