1969 VW SHOW QUALITY/RESTORED
This great VW was an International VW Association (IVWA) show class champion in 1995 and has been fully restored. It is a solid and rust free vehicle. The parts for the restoration were the best on the market and most are from Germany. It has a newly rebuilt 1600cc engine with all new surrounds installed to reduce engine noise, has a tight 4 speed transmission that is very quiet. The trans has a new IMPI shifter and the original shifter also comes with the car. The chassis has been rebuilt with new shocks and drives like new. The tires including the spare (165/80/15) are new. New front and rear bumpers. It has a new brake system, new master cylinder, brake lines and brake shoes. The interior has been entirely restored new seat covers front and back, new headliner in stock (off- white, new interior light (HELLA), new dash pad in stock black, all new carpet including the back glass area. Interior metal framework painted to match the exterior paint (Rubin Red), all new window seals, and new door seals. All door hardware has been replaced with original Volkswagen parts. The replacement mirrors are the top of the line stock. Stainless steel rain guards just for looks :) The trunk interior paint is the same matching paint as the exterior. The trunk has a new liner. Gas tank was removed; pressure tested for leaks, reconditioned and repainted the original color. The exterior of the car was dismantled; all parts sanded to perfection, and repainted with a few coats of primer and 3 complete glossy coats of BASF’s Limco paint. The immaculate paint job was done by a perfectionist. All of the parts were placed back on the bug with new premium rubber all around. The underside has multiple layers of rubberized undercoating. The floor pans are in great shape. This car is very straight, never in an accident and had a great body before the restoration. Car has approx. 200 miles since restoration .Never in rain and always kept inside .
