The cheeky good looks impressive build quality all work together to make one fun little hobby car, specially when they wear bright colors that only the Beetles seem to be able to pull off. This Beetle has a fresh restoration with less than 200 miles on it, nd you'd be hard-pressed to find one that's closer to factory-new than this. The fact that it has spent most of that life in a warm climate has certainly helped keep it looking good, nd with more than $25,000 in receipts, he restoration was comprehensive. The paint is beautifully done, robably nicer than new, ith a deep gloss, mooth bodywork, nd nice panel gaps, hich are a VW hallmark. Everything lines up neatly and the doors open and close with a precision that belies the car's affordable price tag. The Super Beetle offered a curved windshield, arger indicator lights, nd subtly reshaped body panels, long with the big chrome bumpers, ll of which remain in excellent condition. Like I said, f you want one that's like new, his is an excellent choice. The black interior is an excellent contrast to the bright red bodywork, nd it's hard to deny that the combination doesn't look great. The Super Beetle was upgraded inside, s well, ncluding a more stylish instrument panel, lthough it still embraced the single gauge motif. The hardware has a no-nonsense vibe and everything looks basic but feels expensive, ypical of German cars of the period where the quality was tangible in everything you touched. The upholstery, arpets, nd door panels are all in excellent condition with zero wear with so few miles on the restoration, nd it's faithful to the way it came originally, ncluding radio delete. During the restoration, his one was punched out to 1641 cc thanks to a set of larger cylinder jugs, ut otherwise it's built to stock specs. It's beautifully detailed with a chrome air cleaner and correct details like the carburetor, versized generator, nd Bosch distributor cap. It starts easily with that distinctive VW starter chatter, dles nicely, nd delivers plenty of performance for around-town errands. Stir the 4-speed manual properly and it's even entertaining to drive, hanks to a stable suspension and decent brakes. It was built to be enjoyed, ith all the suspension components being powdercoated for durability and the floor pans were sandblasted bare and finished with spray-on bedliner material. Just look at the photos! Original steel wheels are nicely restored and offer a factory-correct look wrapped in skinny 160/80/15 Nexen radials. You'll probably find that everyone is your friend when you drive a Beetle, nd they simply don't come much nicer than this.
