1983 VW Rabbit GTi
Mark II
original paint
AZ CAR

This is cool survivor old skool VW Mark II series

We suggest viewing our auction on normal monitors
or tablet to get the most out of our large hi-def pics.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
1983 GTi that has been off the road for about 15 yrs
here in the Az desert. Not exactly sure why it was
parked yrs ago. Motor turns over fine by hand and oil
etc seem to be fine. Very solid body with no rot on
or around this car could be found. Az has been hard
on the interior of course. Paint I believe to be the orig
black (could actually prob be buffed out for the most
part) other then the hood (its very thin) but could be
made to look much nicer w/o having to repaint it.
The wiring under the dash (and some under the bonnet)
needs to be sorted. Prob one reason it wouldnt crank
with the key when we put a battery in it. (we are still
working on that some this week) A very worth while Euro
project car without the worries of rust repair !

make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.
WANNA BUY IT NOW ? SURE, shoot me a fair offer

DRIVETRAIN: the factory 4 cyl 1.8L looks to be like the
original motor and drivetrain, with a 5 spd trans. Has a factory
A/C option which is nice for a resto project. Looks mostly stock
under the hood with no major mods etc. Again, wiring here
needs to be looked at here too, mostly around the battery area.
Motor turns over by hand and theres no water in the oil etc.
Im sure the fuel system needs to be cleaned out from sitting so
long too. The GTis had very well designed engines back in the day.

INTERIOR: take a look, Az heat has done some heat and
worse then normal wear n tear damage. Dash has some cracks from
the Az heat, but front seats still intact, but rear seats are missing.
Has factory AC and manual sunroof too. Zero rust on the floors and
or rockers. 130k on the odometer. Door panels not too bad. Some
of the window crank handles are broken and both outter door handles will not open the doors from the outside, you have to reach in thru the wing vent window and open the doors from the inside, those work fine.
The factory gauges look to be in decent shape, while some other gauges at one time where added near the center console. No rust of rot in the rear floors etc either. Alot of the interior plastics are dry, crackes or missing. If you have an east coast donar car that would help alot. The interior does
have a odor to it from sitting over the yrs and my guess, desert critters living inside it over the yrs. Needs a good cleaning too.

EXTERIOR:the body again is in very nice shape, not really even any
signs of door dings on the car. 2 dents along the dr side roofline are
the most obvious damage from over the yrs and some of the rubber and
plastics are cracked or missing. Glass is in good shape. Again, paint
looks to be all original and if you wanted to keep it as such, a few hours
buffing it out would do wonders on this old Enamel paint. The heat
was hard on the interior, but other then mild fading, the paint held up
I think well enough where it could be buffed out. All except the hood.
There its getting very thin in a few spots. Factory alloy rims are gone
in place of some newer Jetta alloy rims

SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal and very original
for its age. The car steers, rolls and brakes fine. No rot or major
Mods in this area that I could see.

Here on Ebay.
Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you them
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car
speaks volumes.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what
surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car
they are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy esp
long distance. Our auctions are very detailed.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
