1980 VW rabbit LS diesel. 1.6 D 5 speed. Car is from New Mexico and is in excellent condition. This one only has 100,000 miles on it and runs excellent. It is in running and driving condition, but has not been on the road since 2017. It could probably be driven home. drives nice shifts good. it has a later engine from a 1989 jetta runs very good strong. starts right up every time with no trouble.
The body had a respray about 15 years ago (same paint code from what I can tell). The paint job is decent but does have some spots where the tape job could have been a bit cleaner. This is a red on red. Lipstick red interior is in great condition, though the dash is cracked. Door cards are straight and clean. Seats are in nice condition but the drive side is showing wear under the seat cover.
This is the LS body style which is very rare for this year. Stainless wheel trim, wood grain bezel, rear windshield wiper, and a few other little chrome bits here and there.as any old car it is sold as. is.
