Good bugs are getting hard to find at a good price these days because the bug is now over 45 years old.
Everyone looks at this car everywhere I take it and people always have a great time seeing it. I have had this car for a little over a year and the clear Texas Title is in hand and in my name. All the gears work on the transmission and the Odometer is showing 46K miles. Handling is very good for a 45 year old car thanks to the new tie rod ends and newly adjusted steering box.. The engine is a 1600 single port with a brand new carburetor. This car starts, runs, drives and stops, with great response and pep for a VW. Most of the Brake system was replaced and it now stops very well with little to no pedal play.. Seats are original style seats. Wheels are the correct 15 inch painted factory silver and have the correct vw hubcaps. The typical floor rust was in one spot in the battery tray that has been cut out and been replaced with correct sheet metal welded in.
This car has never been hit in the front and the spare tire area has no impact damage at all. This car will be a great daily driver. All the electrical works. The horn, 2speed wipers, turn signals, fuel gauge, hazard, brake lights, bright and dim headlights lights along with working alternator and oil pressure lights. Oil pressure is excellent and oil and alternator light both work as they should. Valve lash adjusted 3-9-2019 has cool empi quick-shifter and center console with cup holder.
