1965 VW Bug...............NO RESERVE
I bought this Bug out of Southern California 7 months ago as a present for my wife. Although I had good intentions, the Bug hasn't been driven much and just takes up space in the garage. The reason I bought the Bug out of California was because I wanted one that was rust free. Most of the ones I've seen locally have quite a bit of rust. The little Bug was built and restored 3 years ago. With exception of the horn, everything is working great.
Its been lowered with a 4" narrowed beam up front, and 2 splines in the rear.
The engine is a single port 1200 that runs great. No smoke or odd vibrations. The transaxle works as it should. The shifter is a stock unit with a lock plate installed. Although it shifts through all gears and doesn't pop out, shifting feelssloppy to me. I feel it may need new shifter bushings.
The pan is solid and in great shape. The battery tray has been replaced.
The stock drum brakes have been gone through and work fine.
New wiring harness. All gauges and lights work including fuel gauge and turn signals.
All new rubber seals
All glass is in great shape. The rear pop-outs work well
New tires
Extra cables and belt in the trunk
All interior has been replaced. Carpet, headliner, seat upholstery look new
The exterior paint color is gray. It has normal wear chips and scratches from being driven. The body is not laser straight. There are some waves if you look at it from certain angles. In my opinion, this is not a show car. Its more of a nice looking driver.
This Bug is registered to me. I own it. There will be no games or paperwork issues.Although Georgia doesn't issue titles on older cars, I still have the clear California title thatwill go with the Bug
The Bug is located in Northern Georgia near Blue Ridge. Very close to the Tennessee and North Carolina lines. If you're in the area, please contact me to come see and drive. Ask as many questions as you'd like.
There is a $200 non-refundable deposit due at the end of the auction. I'd like to be paid within a week's time if possible.I don't mind working with the new owner, but I don't want this transaction to drag on either.Short term storage shouldn't be a problem. I've worked with shipping company's before and understand how they can be.
I've tried to list this Bug as honestly as possible. Please study all the pics. If you need more, contact me.If its not how I described at time of pick-up, you are not "obligated" to buy it. No questions asked.
