1966 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Up for sale is a 1966 vw beetle. I bought this car from a dealer in Florida in January. 2013. I bought it for a weekend toy. I never drove it in rain or snow. I bought the car with 37. 50 miles on it. It is now showing 38. 00. The dealer told me that the previous owner had replaced all the brake pads and wheel cylinders on the car. I pulled the drums and determined that was true. 66 bugs come with slotted wheels. I like the look of the none slotted better. so installed a set on the car. The tires have about 1. 00 miles on them. and the valves were adjusted about 1. 00 miles ago too. When I bought the car. I installed 4 new shocks. an abarth muffler. new plugs. wires. coil. points. condenser distributor cap and rotor. I have receipts for all those parts. I also added a duel carb kit. I have the original carb. intake and muffler which go with the car if you want. The car runs very well. after you warm it up for 5 mins. Because the duel carbs do not have a choke. it hesitates a bit when it is first started cold. But after it warms up. it drives with no issues. Everything electrical works. The brake lights. headlights. turnsignals. radio. wipers. there are no issues with the electrical system on the car. The brakes operate the way they are suppose to with no issues. The tranny stays in gear. and shifts very easily. I did change the gear lube in it last year. The body was repainted about 10 years ago. It wasn't the most quality job. as you can see dirt and fisheyes in different areas on the car. I did post a pic of the cracked paint on the fender. A rock flew up and hit the fender hard enough to put an outward dent on it. causing the paint to crack. The doors close nice. hood and engine cover open and close with no issues. The car is solid and the pans are solid. I tried to get some pics of the underneath to show. There is no end play on the crank. You can grab the pulley and pull and push. but there is no play. The mileage reads 38. 00. It could be 138. 00. The dealer did not know. and I don't know. Because the underneath is clean and the car was repainted. its hard to tell. I never looked into it. My reason for selling is I'm losing garage space and do not want to pay for storage. I'm losing garage space because I'm getting an older beetle. It has nothing to do with the car itself. If I was rich. I would keep it. and store it. When the dealer was selling this car. they posted a video of it. I posted a link to the video so you can see. It was taken about a 1. 00 miles ago. https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=b4eJGQ-O8_AIf you have any questions. ask. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. And there is a $500. 00 deposit due through paypal within one day at the end of auction. Thanks
