1963 Bus Dormobile camper like Westfalia, runs and drives

1963 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Cool split window VW Bus camper. This has a Dormobile camper top. It looks like it was put in from new (dealer installed?) judging from the wood framing and the appearance of the install. I have new vents and glass and seals for the top. It will need latches for the vent windows (available online) This Bus runs and drives. The engine sounds good. The transmission and clutch work well. The brakes will need some minor work (The pedal needs to be pumped. Probably needs a wheel cylinder or master cylinder rebuild) before this Bus is ready for the road.
The body is in pretty good condition for a split window Bus. It was painted many years ago. There is not much rust although like in any old Bus, there is some. The roof, gutters, doors, hatch, etc are all very good. You can see some body filler along the drivers rocker panel. The floor are decent. The rear cargo area has had some small patches. The side doors close and latch. Ther underneath looks pretty good. Please look closely at the pictures and ask any questions.
The dash is uncut and looks good. This Bus has a Bay window front seat and rear camper Z bed seat and closet.
This is a great Bus to finish up to your tastes and hit the road! Most VW split window Buses are either full on projects or expensive fully restored.
