1981 Volkswagen Rabbit LX

VW pickup diesel - It has not been on the road for 3 plus years. At the time it was parked, it ran OK and was used as a daily driver. The mileage is unknown as the odometer stopped working for a period of time. It probably has over 300,000 miles. It does have some rust, but no gaping holes. This vehicle will need to be towed as it is not road worthy at the moment. It is an old vehicle and looks like it. It does not run and I do not know why it will not start. The last time it was started was about 18 months ago and the engine ran fine at the time. The drum brakes are stuck on and will need to be freed in order to roll it. The original fuel tank had rust in it and was taken out of use (but left in place) and a fuel cell was installed in the bed.It does have brand new front tires. It has all of the AC components. The dash looks pretty good. It does have the sport steering wheel.

I thought I should provide more info about the condition as I have received some questions. I am not an expert, but here is what is visible to me. There is a bubbled up area at the front of the hood. There is a rusted area near the battery in the engine bay. There is some rust at the bottom of the passenger side fender. There is a dent on the passenger side that is visible on the picture if you look closely. The good news is that I have a lot of spare (some new, some NOS, some used) parts for this car that I will include for the winning bidder. The parts are worth hundreds of dollars.
