1973 Volkswagen Thing

1973 VW Thing. I've owned it since 1990. It looks exactly the same as the day that I bought it.... maybe it was a little cleaner then.Garage kept.Been a lot of fun but it's time to pass it on. Has a fresh 1200 cc in it which runs great. Brakes work but are a little stiff. One headlight works. Guess which one. Brake lights and turn signals do not work. Speedometer / odometer not working either. Has original gas heater but never used it. I put the top up once 20 some years ago. Has some holes but framework is all there. Window skirt frames look good. Windshield is a little hazy / scratched. Seats all have tears except for backseat back pads. Pictures show all of the rust issues. Thefloorpan really isn't that bad - Two holes.Decent restoration project or just run with it and have fun after giving attention to brakes and lights. Located about 2 hours south of Chicago or two hours north of Indianapolis. Clean title. No Reserve!!! I'll throw insome air cooled parts that are laying around including two 1600 engine cores, a couple of old carbs, fuel pumps. All a little dirty but all are yours if you want! Thanks, John
