1969 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon VANAGON

Up for sale is a very special opportunity to own an iconic classic. This is a 1969 Volkswagen Custom Panel Van. This Volkswagen has been professionally restored and truly carries an appearance that stands out of the crowd. There is somewhat of a bittersweet story on how this Volkswagen ended up in our showroom for sale. The previous owner (who is a great family friend) had a vision of his dream van, and truly spared no expense in making his... vision a reality. Over a couple of years he had this VW completely gone through and this Van was turning out exactly how he imagined. The bitter side to the story took place while himself and his family were on vacation, their house caught fire and had to be demolished. They had to relocate some belongings to their garage (down the street) and we offered to store the VW in our showroom in the meantime. After months and months of relocating and rebuilding, the previous owner has decided to sell his "dream bus." So the positive news for the previous owner, he did travel a little over 500 enjoyable miles since restoration, and the positive news for the Ebay world, this Volkswagen is priced to sell! I encourage all prospective buyers to view all photos and read the entire description. Please, feel free to ask any questions. We are a small family owned and operated dealership that has been in business for over 39 years. We are here to help make this a satisfying experience for all parties involved. We are classic car enthusiasts, not experts, so I encourage buyers to ask questions. I have included 67 photos to show how beautiful this VW is. The undercarriage is in excellent condition, the floors, frame, engine compartment, appear to be all original with no signs of previous repair. I would call this VW truly rust free. The body is laser straight, no dents, no dings, non-wavy and most importantly no bondo! Doors open and shut with ease and all body panels align properly. The Satin black paint was professionally completed and looks awesome from any distance. Everyone who takes a look at this Volkswagen, absolutely falls in love. Very, very minor blemishes from being driven down the road, I would rate the paint as a 9.5 out of 10. The engine is a 1641cc, starts instantly with a pump of the gas and a simple touch of the key. Engine runs nice and smooth and carries plenty of throttle response. Fully rebuilt and fully documented. The transmission appears to be original 5-speed. This is a user-friendly bus to drive; the clutch operates with ease and the gear pattern is simple to locate. A novice enthusiast can drive this VW anywhere and have an absolute blast from the past. The brakes and suspension have all been professionally gone through and there has been an addition of a BusBoys lowering kit. The custom of the opening title comes into play with the interior. It is converted from a same year but a camper style van. Two bench seats fold into a bed and a fold down table is included for a cruise-in lounge spot. Currently the seats are covered in a southern style blanket, but that can be changed easily (lots of kits online that are inexpensive and easy to replace). The wheels are 17 in. Billet custom smoothie wheels in excellent condition. They add a custom appearance that looks awesome cruisin' down the road. Overall, its simple; if you're in the market for a Volkswagen van, take a good hard look at this one. This is a unique year and a special van from top to bottom that will only further increase in value. This VW is priced to sell, I have tried to represent this Volkswagen in the best way possible to my knowledge and experience. Once again, we are classic car enthusiasts, not experts, so please ask any and all questions. Call or text Kyle @ 269-355-6302 Thank you very much for viewing this one of a kind icon!
