1987 VW Vanagon Syncro GL

1987 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon GL

The Good:It's a Syncro! New battery, spark plugs, muffler, oil and filter, wiper blades, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, speedo drive gear, lower speedo cable, right front inner C/V boot, left front outer C/V boot, fresh gear oil in transmission, fresh gear oil in front diff, air filter, nickel bronze brake lines, rear rubber brake hoses, fresh brake fluid, parking brake cables, rear wheel cylinders, left front brake caliper. Factory overhead air conditioning works, rear locking diff,after market Lucas driving lights, cup holder in place of ash tray, (old ash tray included), Starts and runs well, it's always been a joy to drive. To the best of my knowledge the paint is original, but in poor shape. I have owned this vehicle since 1994.
The Bad:
The power windows work, but are sluggish. The power door locking system is missing the drivers door module. The rear hatch door lock module link is tied back because it drifts to the lock position and makes it impossible to unlock the hatch. It has Nokia Hakka 09 tires on it but they are very old.
The Ugly:
This is a Wisconsin vehicle, so it has some rust. It has the usual seam rust. The worst is on the drivers side, most notably holes behind the front wheel well, and the rocker panel. There is surface rust on various areas on and under the van as well.
