1968 VW Type III Squareback starting @ $1968.00 and NO RESERVE.

Outstanding California original example.

Bought new @ Bill Stremmel Porsche VW in Reno, NV. Kept and registered in Northern California it's whole life.

Original Black and Yellow CA plates with both original dealer plate frames.

Original owner car until just a few years ago, when it was acquired by a local enthusiast and totally gone through.

Extremely rust free, solid example.

Original Lotus White (L282) over India Red interior.

Low mile fuel injected 1600 motor.

Excellent shifting, no issues, original 4spd manual transmission.

Completely new brake system with drilled out Porsche pattern 5 lug conversion and disc brakes up front.

New high quality polished Porsche Fuchs style wheels. Staggered 15x4.5" front & 15x5.5" rear with OEM Porsche center caps and new polished alloy lug nut set.

New tires, also staggered with 145 up front & 165 rear.

Lowered slightly in the front on stock suspension. All stock rear with air shocks.

Mind blowing original interior in gorgeous factory India Red. Excellent original headliner, seats, door cards, carpets, etc. Even the original dash has only a few small cracks around the speaker grill, amazing for it's age, and includes a custom dash cap to protect it from further damage. Everything worksincluding the heater, wipers, blinkers,dome light, dash lights, horn, high and low beams, brake lights, side marker lights, speedometer, odometer &gas guage. Radio delete car. The only thing that doesn't work is the clock (which could be something very simple, I just haven't looked into it).

Exterior is very straight. Many new body and window seals throughout. Repainted on it's exterior only in it's original Lotus White (L282). All glass is excellent including the pop-out side windows. Roll up windows work effortlessly. Doors open and shut perfectly. Excellent body lines all around with no signs of any trauma/accidents.

Runs, drives, stops, steers and starts like the well sorted, well owned example that it is. No excuses.

Miles on the odometer show 06106, true miles unknown.

This little Squareback has got to be one of the nicest survivors in the country and increasinglydifficult to find. Don't let this opportunity pass you buy, it's the one you have been hunting for.
