1969 VW BugBuilt, Dual Carb 1776cc - Upgraded 4 Speed and Clutch - Disc BrakesClean Title - California Car
This is a specially built, street tuned, Type 1 Volkswagen Beetle. This car has had and extensive amount of work invested in everything from engine, transmission, brakes, body, and engine. First, this is a 1969 Bug, Non Super Beetle and was of the last Bugs still made in Germany before the switch to Mexico! Most of the work was completed for and at the VW pro shop, Volks Cafe and this particular Beetle was chosen for restoration because of its rare options including "pop-out" rear windows, 12 volt electrical and most importantly its rust free pan and history of being a California Bug!
The 1776 engine was built and installed by a professional classic VW mechanic and has a dual carb intake system that has been completely rebuilt and dialed in. He also installed an exhaust that provides excellent discreet appearance, good flow and great sound, but is not too loud. She sounds more like a Porsche then a Bug. The transmission is also rebuilt, with a new clutch and with a reinforced transmission mount. This engine is powerful, healthy and this Bug moves, but it also has the brakes and tires to slow it back down. The brake system has been upgraded with disc's and tires are new Michelin's. The interior is no exception, with upgraded VW seats out of a Jetta that provide more support, more headroom and most importantly more comfort than any seats we tried while still giving a classic appearance. The body was repainted its originalPeru Green and still maintains throughout the deck-lidand bonnet. The paint has a few blemishes and spots, but it shines great, looks great and is home at any local car show you want to take her to! The bumpers have been upgraded to 1967 bumpers with using specially manufactured brackets, not hacked together like some I have seen. The trim and roof rack are new and ties in the professional and classic look of this excellent Bug.
Overall, this is a Bug that I hope goes to an owner that appreciates the amount of money, hours of work and love that has gone into making this a special car to drive and show. There is no warranty expressed or implied with mileage exempt due to age. I have had more than a handful of classic bugs and this is far and above the most comfortable, solid, quickest and most fun to drive. I wouldn't sell her if I didn't have to make the mortgage, but my loss is your gain. Just yesterday, when I took these photos, I took the Bug to a Cars and Coffee with the family. The new owner will be proud!
The auction is NO RESERVE! Best of luck, please don't be shy to ask questions, thank you!
