Description:

1973 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Super Beetle

THIS 1973 VW SUPER BEETLE IS A REAL BEAUTY!!!

This is a gorgeously restored 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle!

CUSTOM PAINT JOB! This paint job ran at least $5,000 and it's in the absolutely stunning Plymouth Prowler Red (orangey-red). When the sun hits it, Watch Out - You'll Get A Lot Of Attention!

Stored in a climate controlled garage for the last 29 years and only driven on occasional weekends, mainly to VW and classic car shows which explains its super low original miles of 56,722 - (that averages to only 1,260 miles per year).

When the custom California restoration was done, there was no rust repair or patching done at all - that's how clean this car was! For those who know old VW's lets face it, that's unusual.

A few minor things can be done/fixed to improve it (I will list those things below) but overall it's in incredible condition and has been pampered all its life.

A super peppy engine makes this little car go, go, go! It drives straight even at 70mph!

Approximately 2,000 miles have been put on the car since its restoration.

Below, are the specifications of this particular car and the improvements that were made.

Current Specs:

1.) Top-notch custom paint job in Plymouth Prowler Red

2.) Rebuilt 1600cc engine with Big Bore Kit, taking it to 1649cc

3.) 2bbl Weber carburator

4.) Has an electric fuel pump

5.) All new tires

6.) New suspension

7.) GT Grant steering wheel

8.) Custom console

9.) New rubber seals all the way around from doors to window jams and beyond

10.)EMPI running boards

11.) EMPI Mag Wheels

12.)Racing pedals

13.) LED lighting

14.) Flush Taillights

15.) Trunk popper system (shaved handle)

16.) Custom mirrors

17.) Pioneer sound system

18.) New carpet & floor mats

19.) Door panels and seats look great

20.) Seatbelts

21.) Working Speedometer and Odometer

22.) ...so many upgrades, I may have forgotten a few!

PLEASE READ...BELOW ARE THE MINOR IMPROVEMENTS that you could make to take it to a #1 Weekend Show Car:

1.) Small chip & 1 little bubble on paint by exhaust at the back of the car (see photos)

2.) The lock on the engine door is missing the small metal piece at the bottomthatthe turning part of the lock grabs onto. It will need to be added (nothing big, cheap fix - hopefully you understand my description:)

3.) Plastic trim on bottom side of drivers seat (seat cover plate?) has crack. Could be replaced easily and cheaply (see photos)

4.) Drivers side door floor panel has some missing paint - not sure how this happened - as if someone wasn't careful & they scraped something along it in a few places (see photos). This is only noticeable when the door is opened and you look down but it will need to be touched up or that one strip redone if you're going to show it.

Please remember this is a 45 year old car and even with the restoration, if you're expecting a brand new car, no classic car is for you then.

BUT...

If you've wanted to add a Classic VW Super Beetle to your collection, remember them from your youth or just love the car - This is the one to get!

This is a truly stunning car and everywhere you go, people will stop to tell you!

From its super low miles, never any rust or patching, complete restoration, Amazing Color! or pampered former life - this little car will give you years of pure pleasure!

Drive It or Show It, that will be up to you!
