Hi and thank you for looking at my listing. I have been in the automobile business for 25 years. Once in a while, a car falls into my lap and it becomes special to me. This 1969 beetle I purchased from the original owner 16 years ago. One of my personal friends that works on engines for me started out in 1970 as a VW dealer line mechanic. I received a phone call from my local VW dealer who I buy most of their trade ins. Jeff received a call from a woman looking to sell an old beetle. He doesn't deal with old cars like this so asked if I would be interested in looking at the car. I get these calls from time to time ...most turn out to be old junk that is in poor condition. I went down to south Philadelphia to take a look...what I found was BEYOND AMAZING....!!!!!......51000 ORIGINAL MILES......UNBELIEVABLE....!!!..original...completely unmolested...not a drop of rust. When I purchased this car from the widow of the original owner, it was completely intact...but sat in their cement floor garage for over 15 years untouched. The interior had disintegrated ...but the body was complete and unmolested. Ernie took the car...disassembled the interior and removed the windows. The original paint had checked...so he stripped the body down to the metal and repainted the car in its original color. I have a cd included with pictures of the restoration. The engine was removed and rebuilt using the original german parts including an original NOS muffler. The autostick transmission was serviced and it works FACTORY PERFECT with the correct slight grind going into reverse. The original wheels were sandblasted and painted to the factory specs. Please note in the pictures.....the original title...the original owners manual and booklet ....the original extra factory fan belt and the ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE that has never seen the ground. The am radio works perfectly as well as the heat. Stops...idles...shifts...exactly as it did in 1969. Perfectly tuned and ready to driven anywhere. My children have grown up...and in the last 4 years,,,the car has gone 2 miles. 16 years of enjoyment....It is time to sell this gorgeous old time machine. Please look at the pictures and FEEL FREE to inspect this car before bidding. The battery box was repaired at some time early in its life....If you want to be VERY picky...the hubcaps have pitted a bit from age...ordered new ones on the way. The rear headliner has pulled away slightly near the rear window...a tiny dab of glue should fix her right up. Please take a look at my feedback...EXCELLENT...and made one happy customer at a time.
