Description:

1993 Volkswagen Corrado

For sale is a 93 VW Corrado SLC. It has a clean title. It is a great start to a project car. I bought the car 6 years ago with the intent of making it a great show car. Back then (about 6 years ago), I rebuilt the engine with new rings, bearings, and everything. New timing chains and timing guides. Also, since I had the Transmission out to do the timing chains, I replaced the clutch also. I had to put it back together because of a deployment I was sent on. I have driven the car 3 times since then. Each time I have moved, I drove the car and that was it. I have only put about 100 miles on the car since I rebuilt everything and it has sat ever since.
I am tired of seeing it sitting here, so I am cutting her loose. It's an original Corrado SLC, not some 6 cylinder swap or Frankenstein car. To my knowledge the car has never been wrecked and has a clean title. the car does come with a VIS Carbon fiber hood (not pictured). I believe the previous owner broke the hood cable and to get the hood open, pried on the back of the hood until 3 of the 4 mounting holes broke out. The hood would need to be repaired to be mounted. Like I said, car has been pretty much sitting except to move it or cut the grass around it. I drove it here 2 years ago without any problems, however, it's been sitting ever since. There is no insurance on the car so I don't drive it. I put a new battery in the car today and the car started right up and sounds just like a VR6 should. I suggest you bring a trailer and tow it home, but it's your call once you buy it, your own it.
UPDATE: I have also found a bunch of old receipts from when I worked on it a few years back. I drove the car around the block this morning. Car ran great but the brakes suck from sitting so long.
UPDATE: Car is listed on Craigslist also, so whenever it sells I will take down the add.
