1958 Karmann Ghia Low Light, Restoration Project, All There, Rare & Desirable!

Description:

1958 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

You're viewing my 1958 Karmann Ghia "Low Light" coupe. Original color appears to be a brownish copper color. The car has been off the road for many years and is in need to total restoration but is very complete. All glass is there (windshield was removed along with chrome trim but included in sale). Side quarter glass and upper chrome door trim as well. Rear glass and door glass are in position. Seats both front and rear are in pretty good shape. Gauges are present and pretty nice, radio is missing. There is a box of miscellaneous parts including new exterior door handles, front and rear light bezels, bullet turn signals, rear license plate light housing, visor/mirror combo, some sheet metal, etc. A bin with front and rear bumpers included as well. Motor is a 36 horse, but I'm not sure if original numbers matching. Low lights are the most desirable Ghia's and this will make someone a nice little winter project. I have too many projects on my plate so I'm letting this one go. I own 4 early Ghia's, and I'm sure I'll regret not finishing this one. Car came from a state that doesn't issue titles on cars this old so it will be sold with a Bill of Sale only. Ignore where it states "clear title" in the listing details. I needed to put that to create the listing. Please only bid if you plan on following thru with the purchase. If you live outside the US, please do not bid as without a title the car cannot be exported. It's relatively easy to obtain a title on a car this old, I'm just not going to fool with since I'm selling it. Usually takes about 45 days and doesn't cost much. All sales final, no returns, no warranties. I'm a private collector/restorer liquidating some of my collection. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
