Description:

1974 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Beetle

Up for grabs is a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle not a super beetle a normal beetle, or as some call it a Classic Beetle.
We purchased this car for my son, after getting a part time job he saved up to buy it. Turns out with high school and his job he does not have much time to play and continue to restore it.
What was done: (Over $8,000 invested in the car so far, listing at half that to recoup some but not all costs)
All 4 brakes replaced with disc brakes
New dual master cylinder installed - normal master cylinder cannot handle 4 disc brakes - dual was installed
New carburetor installed
New racing seats installed in front - 5 point seatbelt style - 5 point seatbelts not included however holes in seats make it easily installable.
Drivers slides front and back while passenger also tilts.
New floor pans installed - not stock 74 due to hump in 74, older model pans installed to allow for seats.
New clutch
New shifter
New front beam, entirely all rebuilt and new.
Front beam is height adjustable as well as width
New Steering box - installed
Engine bolts -- connection from tranny to engine, replaced, they were loose and causing engine to shake left to right, thus replaced and now engine is solid.
Receipt ($3,995) for all work provided, all work done by VW shop in Carrollton, GA -- Herrell Bug Parts
Parts that come with car:
Most parts purchased via JBugs
New headliner - white with bows - original bows still intact in car if you want to use originals.
New gear shift coupling - Shifts fine just a little loose so we were going to replace
New front windshield - presently windshield is held in place with tape, were going to replace did not do yet, might be done by time this sells if we can find some time to pop it in.
New window rubbers - all window rubbers *not door windows* new in box, not installed yet. Were waiting to replace headliner after putting in dynamat.
Car drives down the road solid, could use a tweak while idling, runs a little low.
Body - some minor spots here and there, no major rust *some minor work needed near rear lights* and pans are completely new. Also front end above pans were feet sit also replaced due to rust, shop cut out and rewelded in, so no rust there.
Rear Seats -- when purchased they were in really bad shape, threw out and did not replace, will need back seats, we were going to put in a roll cage, so did not purchase.
The car itself really just needs a carpet and some door panels to look really nice inside, pictures will look bad due to these parts either missing or looking like crap, thus pictures are deceiving. If the purchaser was able to throw in some carpet and door panels it would look really nice.
Front beam work is where most of the money and time went as they were what needed to be fixed mostly.
Thank you for your time, I can help load, unload, even bring to a closer location on a trailer as I have a 4x4 and have trailered this car a few times taking it to the VW shop here in GA.
Any questions please shoot me a message. If you would like more pictures as well, please feel free to send me a message.
This car comes with no warranty, sold as is. All parts were replaced as listed above and anything missing would be noted. Clear title is in works at the moment, submitted to local DMV just awaiting paper to get returned from that, most likely will be in hand by time of sale, depends on government offices slowness however it is a clear title, no issues on that side of things.
Deposit does not mean you own the car, full payment must be received and cleared prior to taking possession of vehicle. Money order / Cashiers Check, etc. must clear prior to taking ownership of vehicle.
