Description:

1989 Volkswagen Cabrio Base

I bought this car 4 years ago, and since then I have rebuilt the engine, honed valves, and resurfaced cylinders and head. All seals were replaced. This is like a new engine, it runs great. The entire body was repainted the factory color (silver). My father owns an auto machine shop where they do body work as well, so it was done professionally. Undercarriage looks great, no rust. I replaced the double round headlights with the single round grill and single round lights. The top, top pad, and headliner are brand new, and look great. Has lowered coilovers, and spiffy wheels. Tires are brand new. The interior is pretty stock, but apart at the moment. The seats aren't in perfect shape, (have some staining and tears). This car has sat in my garage for 4 years. Unfortunately I am tired of working on it, and would like it gone. This is a GREAT car for someone who wants to put a little bit of work into it. Really only needs cosmetic odds and ends.
Things it will need before she's road ready:
Re-install tail lightsre-install side markersrewire new headlampsre-install dash and instrument clusterinstall window vent sealre-install door cards
I have every part that will be needed to get the car back together, I just don't have the time to do it.
This is such a great little project car for someone.
One last note, the clear coat on the hood had some type of failure when it was applied. Not a big deal, I'm not even sure if anyone would notice it, but I was told it could be buffed out. That is what the last picture I included is of.
