1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Two-Door

We've decided to sell our exceptional 1965 Volkswagen Sedan after a decade of fun occasional motoring. The odometer reads about 165,000 miles. It is not our daily driver....our daily driver is our 1963 Chevrolet. As you likely know, VW's are air-cooled....no radiator, no water. We have taken much pride in owning and caring for this 1965 Bug. It does have the new black & gold 1960s-style CA plates offered by the Legacy program. It is registered in CA till December. The paint is lovely, but not original. The title is clear and we have the pink slip. It's never been in an accident. It's a 4-speed manual transmission.

It's in very clean condition, a Southern California car with NO rust, dings, or dents, factory sunroof, a very nice interior, 12 volt conversion, 1600-cc dual port motor with a near-new Empi carb, excellent sound system (Blaupunkt speakers with a Kenwood radio--CD player in glove box), a toasty heater that works very well, a like-new fuel tank, good tires, sanitary engine bay, original glass, everything functions, and it has lots of pep. She cruises at 70 all day long on the freeway, though we don't drive it much these days. She tracks true with no wobble. It comes with a really high-quality cover. This is our second rodeo selling a car on eBay....we had success auctioning off our gorgeous classic 1988 Mercedes 560 SEC a couple of years ago.

The only issue is the seal around the sunroof....it will need to be replaced....our mechanic has said it's about a 150-dollar job...when we wash it, we carefully avoid hosing the roof off. There is NO rust whatsoever in the sunroof area, and again for that matter, anywhere in the car. Also, the glove box needs to be secured....it's a little loose....other than that, the car is really clean, starts up instantly every time, has dynamic performance, and gets lots of thumbs up and compliments. As Tony Montana said in Scarface....."she's a cream-puff..!"

Shipping is to be arranged and paid for by buyer. Local pick-up is fine. I've described the vehicle as best I can....please note, it's sold as is...there are no returns or refunds. But we are confident the car is sure to please. Tremendous fun driving it given its spirit. Contact me if you have any queries.....thank you....Jim....North Orange County, Southern California....(seven-won-fore-ate-fore-oh-ate-ate-six-six)
