1982 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon
This 1982 Vanagon camper is 85% restored and is virtually rust free. It has a newly installed rebuilt engine with less than 200 miles. All work has been done by a professional VW mechanic specializing in vintage buses. It runs clean and has passed the Nashville,TN. emissions control tests. It comes with a new heater and am/fm cd player that I never had installed, ut both are brand new. It does have a dynamite mp3 player with great sounding speakers. It was just professionally detailed and is clean as a whistle. It does have a small stone crack on the driver's side windshield but it doesn't obstruct view. There are two tables, he front seats pivot and can face inside the bus, ll curtains are fine, t has a mosquito net for the rear hatch, nd a canvas room/tent that also attaches to the rear hatch for an extra space and privacyOther than a few dings, he body is spotless. It also has a bicycle rack on the back. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. Here is a list of work done in addition to the new engine:new pressure lines, eturn line and clamps, ew fuel pump and brackets, uel filter and fuel hose, sed throttle body, ccelerator cables, our intake hoses, ew shock absorbers for hatch, arrel nut to throttle body, sed idle bypass valve and hose, hermal time switch and bracket, old start valve, eturn spring to throttle, hrottle body gasket, oints, lugs, nd wires, ouble relay, rank case hose, rake pads, earview mirror and side mirrors, gr block plate, wo front calipers, wo metal brake lines, grommets for overflow tanks, hifter ball, epaired shifter linkage, ear and center shifter bushings, ew front grill, ew covers for hookups, ew sun visor clips, ront bumper cover, ew muffler system. I can also put you in contact with the mechanic if you have particular mechanical questions that I can't answer. Really, echanicallythis bus is virtually new. Cosmetically, here is nothing major for a vehicle this old.The only reasonthis bus is forsale is that I have two Westy, nd the other one is automatic which at my age is an advantage.Years ago, drove a 1965 bus to Alaska and back. I wouldn't hesitate to make the same trip with this baby. Feel free to contact me (615-604-1786)if you have any questions.
