This is for a very solid 1966 Volkswagen Beetle.I bought this car to build,but I have 2 other bugs ahead of it,so I am going to offer this one up for a new home.
The photos pretty much tell the story on this bug.This car is matching #'s,the body and chassis #'s match.This car has complete new floor pans already installed.The body is very solid and just bolted back on, temporarily to the pan, with a few bolts.
All the fenders,hood,and decklid are all oem German parts.The body is super solid but there is a minor dent on the drivers side.See photos.Bumpers are present but not perfect by no means.The heater channels are in great shape.See photos. There is NO door hinge rust issues.Doors open and shut tight and solid.All glass is good with the exception of the windshield,which has a crack.The rear luggage compartment is still rust free with its original paint.The front spare tire well is perfect,never damaged and NO rust.There is some surface rust under the hood, but NO holes anywhere.The gas tank is good.The chassis has NO rust.The front beam and head is excellent.There is a very small amount of rust thru starting on both front inner wheel wells,but is very minor.See photos.There is also some very minor rust at the rear attaching points,where the running boards go.Again see photos.All this is very easy fixes.The bug is still wearing its original paint in these areas so nothing is hiding.The original 1300 engine is 100% complete, but is stuck from sitting,I have not tried to free it.It was running when parked.It is full of oil and there is no water in it.The trans shifts thru all the gears and is supposed to be fine.This was a running car about 10 years ago when it was disassembled for restoration.I have most all parts that will come with the car,including correct seats,door panels and all dash parts and trim.It also has a set of factory pop out windows and extra complete uncut wiring harness for it.This bug rolls and steers easily.It does NOT run at present.It will have to be towed or trailered.The tires are decent so it can be towed with a tow bar also.I towed it over 30 miles that way when I bought it several months back.
*****Alabama doesn't issue titles on any vehicle over 35 years old,BUT I have a clear and clean and open Texas title,that will come with it.
Overall,This will make a nice car and it is priced VERY fair,esp for a very solid bug.
