Completely restored Bug!!!

Up for auction is our 1959 Volkswagen Beetle -Classic Hotrod 1835 cc Convertible, manual transmission.

Restored about 6 years ago, according to last owner. It was completely stripped, new floors replaced old ones, hotrod 1835 cc freshly built motor installed, mated to rebuilt 1967 transaxle.

Starts, runs and stops perfectly.

Car was painted with PPG Porsche factory paint, color code M3W/E4 – Carmen Metallic Red. All trims were replaced, with German ones when available. New German headliner, new German carpet (square weave), door panels and upholstery are also German made tweed, sourced from Wolfsburg West. Car has a Retro sound Radio, installed with a dual voice coil speaker.

All glass is good except for a tiny pockmark on the front windshield. Window frames are originals and untouched, they have light bubbling and patina. If we were to keep the car, we’d rechrome them.

Car shifts well and has strong power, cruises at 75 mph on highways. Tires have plenty of thread.
