1986 Westfalia Weekender (Multi Van)Wolfsburg Edition. Factory cruise control, manual transmission. The van has 188k original miles. 25k miles on completely rebuilt motor by Auto Werks at a cost of 4,890 (receipts included). This van was sent to Go Westy for several upgrades (receipts included). The upgrades areincluding but not limited to; South African big brake kit with steel braided brake lines, high power headlight upgrade including h4 headlights, relays ect., Go Westy powder coated steel plate front and rear bumper with integrated trailer hitch, Go Westy Pop top assist lift kit, three point retractable rear seat belts, Go Westy 3 window pop top canvas. The front end bushings are all in excellent condition and have been replaced in the past. The van also has newer Bilstien gas shocks both front and rear. The van handles great, the steering is tight, brakes are awesome thanks to the big brake upgrade. The van is solid, dry, andlooks great say for a few minor imperfections,dings, andscratches. This van has been lovingly cared for. The van runs and drives like new and is mechanically dialed in. The van needs nothing. I would not hesitate to drive this van cross country any time, anywhere.
Motor- Professionally rebuilt by Autowerks in Corvallis Oregon. Just over 25k miles on the rebuilt 2.1 liter motor. The motor work includes but not limited to; new rods, main, camand rod bearings, new cam shaft, lifters, oil pressure switch, water pump, 2 brand new cylinder heads, case studs, thermos stat housing and cover, temp sensor, engine motor mounts, O2 sensor,fuel and vac lines, all machine work and labor. Thecoolant system was completed flushed. Cost of motor rebuild was $4890.00. A new clutch was also installed at the time of the motor rebuild. The motor runs like a watch.
Interior- New rear seat (Z-bed), and rear cushion upholstery. The rear cabinet was removed to give the van much more room. The bed is now a full size bed. The rear cushion was custom made to be larger in place of the removed cabinet. There is still plenty of storage under the rear seat and jump seat. The dash is perfect with no cracks or damage. The stereo is hooked up to the aux battery to prevent draining the main battery. A nice heavy duty removable rubber mat was installed for durability and easy cleaning.
Pop Top- Brand new Go Westy top of the line 3 window canvas. The pop top also has the lift assist kit making it very easy to raise up and down.
Other- New Go Westy Rims. Brand new correct load ratedtires from Les Schwab ($500) with less than 2k miles on them. At that time the van also had a 4 wheel alignment. The tires do come with a warranty and free rotation and road hazard protection. The cv axles and boots have been rebuilt. The van has been upgraded with electric side mirrors (fully adjustable). New Stereo system with speakers ($1000). Alpine deck with remote. MP3 compatible. New auxiliary battery with isolator and indoor plug in. Shore power (electric) hook up upgrade on out side of the van with interior plug in. The rear and side windows have been professionally tinted. Yakima rack. New hatch struts.The van has factory cruise control, however it does not currently work. All original book and manuals come with the van as well as receipts for all work listed.
