1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Up for sale is my rare 1977 champagne Edition 1 (CE-1)
unrestored original vw champagne editition 1 very few of these were made in 77,
in 1978 CE-2 was introduced
the 77 is a one of a kind and very limited inproduction!
its my understanding only a handfull were made in 77.
very few of these 77 were made and I don't know how many are still on the road today.
they are a one year special color combo of atlas white over agate brown.
the ce-1 was offered with factory ac and or sunroof as optional equipment
this is a non sunroof but it does have the factory ac!
purchased new in 1978 in Portland Oregon this bus has remained in Oregon its entire life.
the original owner provided this bus to me with its original owner's manual.
Odometer is 130,000
This is the factory air conditioning option.
Everything is there original owner never used it,may have been disconnected.
The engine was rebuilt by vw dealer @70,000 miles. So there are about 60,000 miles on engine.
2.0 stock fuel injection
this bus has a great history and the engine was rebuilt with new heads (not rebuilt )
and the hydraulic valves were also an upgrade .
it was rebuilt 10 years ago so the bus has been sitting most of that time .
this bus is in amazing original condition with 1 year only
Atlas white on top and agate Brown on the bottom.
the original owner says that that is the original paint and no body work has ever been done.
the special (77 CE -1 only)
backseat looks like it has never ever been sat in and is still soft and Squishy and has not been exposed to the Sun .
The middle seat is missing as it was long ago taken out and disregarded.
the headliner and interior and special panels are all in near-perfect condition!
the door panels on the rare champagne Edition 1 are color coded cream with Deluxe trim .
the floors both front and cargo area come from the factory with a beige carpet that is still there and in amazing condition .
Also comes with the color coded tan spare tire cover in perfect condition.
this bus runs and drives amazing and has perfect brakes. and good tires.
there are no cracks in any of the glass.
the front seats have been replaced with high-end Acura bucket seats they recline all the way back and are very nice however the previous owner did not save the original seats.
These seats sit up a little higher and are ideal if your tall.
the factory fuel injected 2 liter engine and transmission operate flawlessly, however I did notice a little oil on the bottom of the engine when I purchased it however after driving it around for a few weeks I don't notice any oil leaks.
The oil has been changed and all fuel lines and filter have just been replaced.
The body on this bus is amazing! It shows off its age with dignity.
there is absolutely no rust on this Volkswagen it's amazingly straight and is a perfect example of a well-cared for Survivor .
the only damage on the original body is a crease that is vertical that pushed in the upper tail light and lightly creased the corner of the bus when the bus rolled down a driveway and struck a corner of a garden shed. The damage was fairly minimal so the previous owner just replaced the lens .
the champagne Edition 1......a very rare and collectible Volkswagen.
