Finished in Signal Orange, this Beetle shows extremely well. Both running boards are billeted and are in great shape. Both sides have a custom Empi tire jack pads. The glass lens headlights are H4 style with a custom blue dot running lamps directly underneath. The custom tail lights are flush with the rear valance and in excellent condition. All the trim is present and complete and presents a brilliant finish. The bezels, fender guards, kick panels, wind defectors side mirrors are which are highly desirable and in very good shape. The exterior window seals have been replaced with white rubber pieces and look fantastic! When have you ever seen them?
Inside, the interior is a vision of white vinyl, the front seats have an excellent support and are very comfortable. The rear seat are a brilliant white vinyl that matches the front. The tan carpet is used tastefully to tie together the entire roomy interior floor covered by Saddle Tan Cocoa mats. With the matching white door panels, white head liner, and the painted orange with white vinyl covered dashboard is a continuation of the interior of the car. All the original equipment gauges are in place and have correct appearance with the tasteful addition of a SunPro oil pressure gauge. This example is also equipped with a highly polished Grant three spoke steering wheel and upgraded Pioneer AM/FM unit.
This Beetle is equipped with a horizontally opposed, overhead-valve, 1.7L air-cooled four-cylinder engine fed by dual 34mm downdraft carburetors. Power is transferred to the wheels by a 4-speed manual transmission with a Empi short shifter. Driver assist features include front and rear hydraulic drum brakes. This bug is also equipped with an Empi distributor and upgraded Bosch “blue” ignition coil. Suspension upgrades include 2 inch adjustable front bar and lowering sport springs. The 15-inch highly polished Empi aluminum light weight alloys with performance rated tires complete the look.
