Description:

1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

This is a 1971 VW Single Cab that is extremely rare! This is a real head turner! Entered in several parades and always creates a conversation! It is original to the state of Florida. I am the 3rd owner of this truck. It came from Gainesville Fl. This vehicle will be sold AS-IS, Where IS with a clean Florida title. The truck has 7500 miles since the rebuild was complete. The NADA value guide has a good phrase that fits this truck... It's a great "20 foot looker", the body work isn't perfect but very clean. No structural damage to the frame, just surface rust. It has been rebuilt to the condition that you see in this ad. The motor was built by Space Coast Imports in Melbourne Fl using as many German parts as possible. The entire breaking system was replaced, master cylinder, lines, calipers, drums, rotors, pads, shoes, and rear cylinders. All bearings were replaced front and rear. Everything but the steering box was replaced, upper and lower ball joints, drag link, steering damper, and tie rod ends. An electric aftermarket windshield fluid pump/reservoir was installed as well as a CD player and speakers in the doors. The seats had new covers installed and the dashboard was covered with new black vinyl. All lights, horns, wiper motors and turn signals work as they should. The gas tank was dipped and lined before installation. The fuel gauge doesn't work... I just use the odometer. The gates are the original ones that came with the truck. The truck tracks straight down the road and stops evenly. It is a lot of fun to drive and I hate to sell it but it is time to move on to another project. Please email with any questions or want closer pics of anything. Also, the pics of the motor on the bench are of the original motor that came with the truck. It is complete and runs, it is included in the sale of the truck. Thanks
