1976 Triumph TR-6

If you're looking for an unmolested, highly-original Triumph TR-6 to restore, this is the one. I acquired it as a "barn find" from New York, where the car was parked in 1995 and only started periodically to keep the engine from seizing. It has 60,479 original miles. Since I purchased it last year, I was able to verify that the engine turns freely by hand, but I haven't started it due to it's present condition.
Here's what the car has going for it: (1) all-original engine, transmission, alternator, air injection system, starter, carburetors, and emission control system, including original hoses and connectors that have extremely rare labeling; (2) all-original interior components, including hard-to-find Kangol Reflex seat belts and receivers, British Leyland radio, Triplex windshield (cracked) and Triplex side windows, and original Smiths gauges; (3) relatively straight and in-tact body (though there is some rust in the floor pans and lower panels typical of these cars). If you see the pictures, you'll be able to identify some very unique components that you may have not seen on a Triumph TR6 since it was new.
However, it will require a total off-frame restoration due to the rust and condition of the suspension. Anything made of rubber will need to be replaced. All of the mechanical components are functional (based on electrical testing), but would need to be rebuilt.
I have a number of period-correct replacement parts I've sourced for the car that I would be willing to include with the sale, including a set of four lightly-used Michelin X Redline Tires (the car contains a rare Goodyear Redline Tire) that are correct for the vehicle and could be used for shows (I wouldn't drive on them at highway speed due to their age). Other parts include replacement lenses for broken tail light lenses, a spare starter, and a few boxes of odds-and-ends items.
The car was sold to me through a bill of sale, but I can assist the buyer with applying for a title if desired. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'd really like to see it go to a good home that will restore it properly, and I'm willing to work with the right person to make that a reality. I may be able to assist with transportation on a case-by-case basis; it depends on distance and my schedule. Feel free to ask. Thanks for your consideration.
