1981 Triumph Other

Up for sale is my ONE OF A KIND TR7 (?). Why the (?) you ask? As you can see from the pictures, hile she started out as an anemic 1981 TR7, he has morphed into what she is today. She is now fitted with a 231 cid Buick V-6 engine coupled to a Camaro T-5 5 speed and delivers the power to a Mustang GT rearend with 2.73 gearing and limited slip. The brakes are Wilwood aluminum 4 piston calipers on the front and 11' vented and drilled rotors. The rear brakes are calipers from SSBC and uses 10.25 vented drilled and slotted rotors. The master cylinder and booster, oth chrome plated, re GM units. She is also fitted with a brake portioning valve. The suspension uses polyurethane bushings through out with KONI adjustable shocks and competition springs. She is fitted with 15" Konig "Lace" wheels and Kuhmo tires. The top is new though rarely up. This is a California car and not driven in the rain even if we got any rain. The dash now sports VDO gauges. The body work consists of four fiberglass flares (complete fenders) abd the front air dam from Huffaker Racing in Sonoma. She is painted GM White with a custom Checkered Flag wrap. So, s you con imagine, here is very little TR7 left in her, herefore the (?).
Here is the bad news: As a 1981 vehicle in California, he is required to pass smog checks. She always passes but it means the engine is stock. While it is still better than the stock 4 cylinder, here is so much more potential. If only California would recognize that she is not a daily driver and is mainly only driven to and from car shows and club get-togethers for less than 1000 miles per year... With that being said, he has dual exhaust (CAT-Back, f course), nd MSD ignition. The CAT and the carburetor were replaced two years ago. She is also fitted with a oil cooler. She is fitted with A/C, ut I recently broke a hose fitting (my bad) and released the freon. So I removed the A/C pump. It goes with the car but it is not working as of now.
As far as the car show, for the purists, he is not stock and therefore hard to judge, hough she has won. She has also done well in custom shows.
She is fun to drive and if I got a dollar for every time that I was asked "What kind of car is that?" I'd be a rich man!
