Description:

1967 Triumph Other Conv

Getting very hard to find, offered here is a scarce example of the TR4A.If you will note the VIN number, with an "O" at the end, designating this car as a RARE factory overdrive model, yet the overdrive unit has been removed and replaced with a standard 4 speed gearbox. Even so, having the VIN tag and the ability to replace the transmission with an overdrive unit serves to enhance the value.
This car was discovered in a dry Georgia climate, therefore is an extremely solid example as shown in the photos. Seldom will you find one with no rust in the rockers or frame rails, making this car an excellent example of the marque for a great restoration. Only surface rust evident on frame as shown in the pictures.I offer this car in its as is condition, with no warranty, as is typical for an old car. The pictures will show you what you get, although I am happy to answer questions to the extent of my knowledge. Assume the car will need a full restoration. The engine does turn but I have not tried to start it. Also, I DO HAVE the rear bumper which is included! Note too that the car has a Rollbar. The title is clear, registered in my name. I will mail it to you after full payment has been made. If you ship it, I will assist with meeting the shipper. The winning bidder must pay a $1000 deposit upon auction end within 24 hours. Paypal or wire transfer is acceptable. Balance is due within 10 days, but if you pay by Paypal it will be an additional 3% to cover their fees. Pickup must be within 3 weeks of auction end, unless other storage arrangements are made prior to end of auction. I can keep the car for a little while longer if needed, but I have to pay storage for which I will expect reimbursement. Thanks for considering this collector's car.

The top has been folded down for photos to more easily show the roll bar and interior, but the canvas is not in good shape and will need replacement. I added a couple more photos of the frame to show that it is in very good shape, along with a photo of the rear bumper that was removed. I have reached ebay's limit on photos or would show more, although every part of the frame I was able to inspect is solid. Yes, it is amazing but this car is essentially rust free as far as I can see, with all solid panels and no bondo covering up rust like you would find elsewhere on most cars. This is as you can see, an old tattered paint job, so if rust were an issue it would make itself evident by now. It will need some body work and paint to get it perfectly smooth and straight, but it is probably the most solid rust free example you will ever find to restore. The car was owned for most of its life by a Veteran who used it as his primary vehicle while stationed here in the Southeast, as a young man many years ago. He held onto the car for decades planning on restoring it, until a couple years ago when he reluctantly decided to part with it. I have made the decision to thin out some of my projects, so this is a great opportunity.
