Description:

1972 Triumph TR-6

Restoration Candidate-1972 TR6 with Overdrive and a rare Damson exterior with a black interior.
I will describe the car as best as I can...please feel free to contact me with additional questions.
Body: It appears that the car has never had a re-paint. The tub, front and rear fenders and doors look to be original. The hood and trunk lid are in primer and have surface rust. The hood looks to be in good condition while the trunk lid has had some rust issues but appears to have been blasted and primed. I believe both are usable. Rust: The floorboards should be replaced and the rocker panels may need to be replaced-see pictures. British Heritage floorboards and rocker panels are included. Tub-to-rear fender seam-some perforation of the tub in these areas-see pictures. Tub-localized rust as a result of interference fit between tub and convertible top attachment rivets. Localized rust in trunk lid opening lip. Right rear fender-localized rust-see pictures. Upper front valance panel, grille attachment area-localized rust, replacement piece included with car. Rust not Evident: "dog legs" look good. Doors look good. Battery tray looks good. Scupper areas look good (limited access to these). Trunk area looks good. Visible interior areas of front and rear fenders good good.
Convertible Top-frame included with car.
Bumpers-both front and rear bumpers have light damage and the chrome is pitted but can be refurbished.
Interior: Seat frames have some surface rust but are structurally sound. Frame: Structurally sound however has surface rust.
Power Train: Engine and transmission appear to be original to the car. The condition of the engine, transmission and differential are unknown. The engine does turn freely.
Also Included: Grille Fiberglass transmission cover Used but serviceable convertible top
