1968 Triumph MK2

1968 GT6+, Mk2, 2 door, coupe, fastback.The coloris red. The original color of the car was, code 32, signal red with, code 11, black interior.
The engineis a 2 liter, 1998 cc inline 6 cylinder push rod with twin Strombergcarburetors. The factory specs indicate it put out 104bhp @ 5,300rpm with 117.3lb ft @ 3,000rpm.The engine number is KD52026E, which is consistent with Triumph not matching engine# and the chasis#, but getting close. The numbers are only 168 away from each other. See attached photos.The engine does not run, but turns over easily with a battery hooked up.The transmissionis included.Since there is no "O" for overdrive at the end of the chasis# the car was most likely came with a 4 speed transmission. The car rolls easier for easy transport. There is no clutch master cylinder.The interior needs completely redone. The car has a 1970 GT6+ steering wheel, I removed from my personal GT6. The seats are there but needreupholstered. There is some carpet and the rear panels are all missing. The black headliner is there,and insurprisinglygood condition with a few seams pulling apart.The wood dash is in good condition and the only switch not there is the headlight switch.The bodyand paintare in poor shape. The front chin spoiler/apron is missing. The front bumper is also missing. There are a couple dents on the driver's side roof. The floors below the seats appear to be good. It has an aftermarket sunroof.There is rust.The battery box has rusted down into the passenger compartment. The drivers and passenger floors have rusted through and have been covered with fiberglass. There is also rust in the rocker panels and in the passenger lower corner of the engine lid.The brakesare stock with the 9.7" disc in the front and 8" drum in the rear.The suspensionis stock 4 wheelindependent, coil springs in the front and leaf spring in the rear. The rear drive axles have the rotoflex doughnutjoints.The steeringis stock, manual rack and pinion.The wheelsare painted 13"x 4.5" steel wheels. The front driver's side wheel is from a newer GT6 Mk3The tireshold air.The historyof the car is incomplete.The speedometerreads 41,679 miles, but the exactmileage is unknown.The locationof the car is Seabeck, Washington, just west of Seattle.The shippingof the car is the responsibility of the buyer from its current location.Payment is$500 deposit within 48 hours and the remaining balance due within 7 days of the sale.The sale is final and the "as is", "where it is".The titleis clear and signed by the previous owner. There are no keys to the car, but the steering wheel turns freely. The car rolls fine. I was able to tow it on a dolly for about 40 miles with no problems. The emergency brake does not work, but I'm sure any transport company will chain/strap it down.
