1978 Land Cruiser FJ40 - Factory Emissions - ARB - Warn - OME

The National Debt reaches $776 Billion.Meanwhile, oyota Motors introduced its best Land Cruiser yet. For a half-century, ver a million Land Cruisers have traversed paths from the South Pole to the Sahara.

This 1978 FJ40 was frame on restored here in Iowa over the last 18 months.It's a beautiful 78 FJ40 with some classic upgrades. I started with was a nice, ust free, riginal paint FJ40. She was originallydelivered to Kansas and spent a decade there before her original owner moved to California and eventually sold her to the second owner in 2003. The second owner had her for 10 yrs until 2013 when she was sold to the third owner in Colorado so most of her life was in CA.

She's been well cared for and the recipient of many nice upgrades, hich I have outlined below. Painted in the factory 653 - Olive Brown this year, he is mechanically and cosmetically excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a long journey.

Exterior / Mechanical

Excellent body and frame. Recently received $6,000 in body and paint work. NO new body panels were needed. In addition, any new parts were installed like emblems, ardware, ignals,reflectors, isc rubber partsas needed.

This old school SUV offers four wheel drive and enough ground clearance to give new meaning to the phrase 'stump jumper'. The truck's original 4-speed manual transmission sends power through a correct open rear end, hich is complete with 4.11 gears, nd a correct transfer case to serve up an awesome combination of off-roading prowess. Front disc and rear drum brake combination will bring all you to a quick and uneventful stop.

- Toyota Stock 4 speed transmission with 4:11 gears in excellent working order.

- Rides on fresh 33x9.50 15 BFG AT KO tires with new OEM 15" steel wheels and new hub caps.

- OME (Old Man Emu - Dakar) 2.5" suspension lift with new steering stabilizer and new matching OME shocks.

- Front Power Assist Disc Brakes

- All Stainless Steel Hardware

- New OEM weatherstripping on all four doors

- Front bumper is the ARB shorty with tow hooks,auxiliarylights and a very nice Warn 8274 winch.

Under the Hood

The engine is the original 2F inline 6 cylinder and retains all original factory smog equipment. Having come from and lived in CA, he should pass smog without issues. The engine runs very well and needs nothing. All the fluids have been checked and changed as needed. The truck is driven regularly and is very reliable.

- Tuffy locking center console with Alpine stereo installed connected to Power Amp and Bose Speakers - ROCKS.

- Stock Dash configuration with one additional switch for Aux exterior lights.

- Front seats and rear jump seats are OEM and have been masterfully reupholstered in a charcoal marine grade vinyl

This is a very cool SUV that's still every bit as functional andcapabletoday as it was in when it drove off the showroom floor. It's tight, attle free, nd runs and drives as it should.
