1989 Toyota Camry LE
I've owned this since 07. first two years I put alot into it. for those unfamiliar with this model. it is a full time four wheel drive. has four wheel disc brakes. independent suspension. power windows and door locks. tilt, cruise, ac. this one has rims from a jdm mr2 GTS. one is bent, it is balanced out the best it can be. also has remote start. the following parts have under 1000 miles. head gasket, ajusa head bolts, all four struts and mounts, (front struts and mounts are going bad). tires, (although low mile, are now old) three wheel bearings, two front lower control arms, front axles, one rear hub, drilled and slotted rotors front and rear, all calipers, distributor,cap, rotor, plugs,wires,ignitor. this car hasnt been driven much for about five years. my wife drove it for about a week two years ago in the winter. I drove it yesterday. it has an intermittent electrical issue. causes car to shut off. shows as throttle position sensor. could be a wire going to it though. also wasnt shifting properly. has a power shift trans. I could shift it manually fine. could be associated with the throttle sensor. interior is one of the nicest you'll find. rear drivers side door panel has two small spots and steering column surround by the key, has deteriorated and has been glued back together, but not well. I just have too many cars and no time to work on them. with a little time this could be a decent car as is. but if you do some research, any drive train component from a celica GT4 will bolt right into this car. you can easily swap in a turbo engine from an mr2, or caldina.
